11. Drawing Notes App-Specific Information
11.1 Nearby Share Feature
Our app includes a "Nearby Share" feature that allows you to exchange drawings with other users in your physical vicinity. To enable this:
- Location Permission: We request access to your device's location (Coarse Location). This is technically required by the Android operating system to discover nearby devices via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct.
- Usage: Your location data is only used momentarily to establish a connection with another device. We do not store your location history, track your movements, or send your location to our servers.
11.2 Storage & File Access
Drawing Notes is a content creation tool. To function properly, it requires access to your device's storage:
- Read/Write Permissions: We request permission to read and write to your storage to save your drawings (images, PDFs, and project files) and to open existing files you wish to edit.
- Data Ownership: All files created are stored locally. You retain full ownership and control over these files.
11.3 Vector & Project Data
When you save a drawing, we may store it as a project file (containing vector paths and layer information). This allows you to re-edit your work later. This data is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share it via a third-party app (e.g., email, messaging).
